Initials

What if I have more than 3 initials?

If you have more than three initials or have another special request, please note your request in the last open field on the engraving form, titled: "If you have any notes for our for our engraving team, please let us know here."

We can often accommodate requests of four characters, and sometimes even more, but this is assessed on a case by case bases. Your notes will be reviewed by our engraving team, who will reach out to you via the email address and/or phone number provided to confirm or deny your special request prior to starting the engraving.

Message Help

How does entering message text work?

Enter up to twelve characters on each line. Our Artisans will ensure proper placement and size. Engravings can include letters A-Z (upper and lowercase, as shown in the previews below) as well as

? , & ? # -

but no other characters or emojis at this time. 

Please note that when entering message text, your characters are case-sensitive. Should you need to refer back to how any characters in your chosen font look in either upper or lower case, please see the image below.

Customer requests and authorizes Shinola/Detroit, LLC (?Shinola?) to provide certain engraving services on its property described/shown below (the ?Property?). It is the Customer's sole responsibility to ensure that the details provided below (the ?Proof?) are correct and acceptable, including spelling, typographic errors and engraving placement. Engraving is a permanent process and changes to the engraving may be impossible without rework, alteration or possibly damage to the item. Please, no profanity; Shinola reserves the right to refuse engraving services based on the content of requested messages.

Customer hereby acknowledges, agrees and accepts that the Proof provided below is a true and accurate depiction of the engraving services desired and of the scratches, flaws or other defects which exist as of the date hereof. Customer hereby fully releases and waives any and all claims against Shinola from any and all liability for any errors in the spelling, typographic or engraving placement or details of the engraving otherwise included in the Proof and for any pre-existing condition of the Product.
