At Shinola, we stand behind our quality craftsmanship with every product we make. To back up that claim, we offer a limited lifetime warranty on our core quartz and automatic timepieces, and a 3-year limited warranty on our Detrola timepieces.

Both guarantees are industry leading. We source only the best available components from around the globe and rigorously examine our timepieces at each step of production. This ensures every timepiece shipped from our factory operates with flawless precision.

The Shinola Guarantees - Terms & Conditions 

Shinola core quartz and automatic watches are guaranteed for life, and the company's Detrola watches are guaranteed for 3 years under the terms and conditions of our warranties. In the case of defects covered by the warranties, all components (excluding battery, leather/rubber/nylon/silicone strap, stainless steel bracelet, and buckle) will be repaired or the watch will be replaced free of charge. If the exact model is not available for replacement, a watch of equal value and similar style will be provided.  

 

Service Recommendation 

Shinola recommends having your timepiece serviced every 3-5 years (mechanical) to 5-7 years (quartz), in line with its natural movement life, as well as having your battery replaced every 2-3 years on quartz timepieces.


Shinola Leather Goods Warranty

1-Year Limited Warranty

All Shinola leather goods are crafted from the world's finest tanneries and manufacturers. We are committed to only working with partners in leather production that share our unwavering commitment to quality. This dedication allows us to design beautiful leather goods that are crafted to endure for years to come. To back up that commitment, any defects of the material or workmanship of your leather will be covered under warranty for 1 year.

If we cannot repair or replace your product, a store credit will be issued for the original amount paid. The warranty does not cover damages arising from accidents or misuse, or from any alteration, service or repair performed by any other party other than Shinola.

Manufacturing defects are assessed on a case by case basis with a valid proof of purchase from shinola.com or one of our authorized retailers. If your product requires replacement, please be advised we cannot also return your original product to you. Please let us know if your product has sentimental value and you do not want the item replaced. We will honor your wishes and repair it to the best of our ability, if a repair is possible.

We try to repair any item before we replace it.? While we cannot absolutely preserve the original look and feel of the item, our team completes a repair to best maintain the integrity of the item.

Our leathers are tanned using various leather types. This means each leather is unique in its own specific coloring, markings, and striations, and all leather are susceptible to patina, discoloration and scratching. Variations in surface and scratching are not viewed as defects.

If a repair is required outside of warranty, you will be notified with the charges required prior to any work being done on your item.

90-Day Limited Warranty

Shinola jewelry is crafted with the highest quality materials and manufacturers. We are committed to only working with partners in jewelry production that share our unwavering commitment to quality. This commitment allows us to design beautiful jewelry that is crafted to endure for years to come. To back up that commitment, any defects of the material or workmanship of your jewelry will be covered under warranty for 90 days.

If we cannot repair or replace your product, a store credit will be issued for the original amount paid.

Wall Clock Warranty

Shinola Wall Clock 1-Year Limited Warranty

 

Our belief is that products should be built to last. To back up that claim, we have created a limited warranty that ensures every Shinola Wall Clock is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.

 

This warranty is limited to the replacement, repair or refund of the purchase price, at Shinola's election, within the warranty period and does not extend to consequential or incidental damage to other products that may be used with this unit.

The remedies for any failure of a Shinola Alarm Clock to meet this warranty shall be those remedies stated herein and no other; these being the exclusive remedies as a condition of sale irrespective of the theory upon which any claim may be based, including without limitation, negligence, breach of contract or strict liability. Except as expressly set forth herein, Shinola makes no warranty, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose. The foregoing warranty shall be voided by any repair, alteration, or modification by persons other than the employees of Shinola, and by any abuse, misuse or neglect of the products or by use not in accordance with the Shinola published instructions.
