The Shinola Guarantee
Every Shinola watch is assembled in our Detroit factory using premium components sourced from around the world and built to deliver years of dependable performance.
We stand behind that craftsmanship with the Shinola Guarantee—our comprehensive 5-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
To activate your Shinola Guarantee, simply register your watch after purchase. Registration allows us to verify ownership, streamline future service, and provide the best possible ownership experience throughout the life of your watch.
With proper care and periodic servicing, our well-made watches are designed to perform for decades.

To receive warranty coverage, your watch must be registered through Shinola Product Registration.
Once registered, your watch is protected by the Shinola Guarantee for five (5) years from the original date of purchase. If you do not have the original proof of purchase, the Shinola Guarantee will start from January 1st of the year the watch was manufactured.
Registration also allows Shinola to:
• Verify ownership for warranty service
• Maintain your service history
• Notify you of recommended maintenance
• Provide updates and support throughout your ownership experience
What's Covered
The Shinola Guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship for five (5) years from the original date of purchase or if not available, January 1 of the year the watch was manufactured.
If a covered defect occurs during the warranty period, Shinola will either:
• Repair your watch using genuine Shinola parts, or

Coverage applies to all Shinola watch collections unless otherwise specified.

Watch Service Outside Warranty

No work will be performed without your approval. If we do not receive your approval within 30 days of providing the estimate, we will return your watch to you without completing the service.
Keeping Your Watch Performing for Years to Come with Factory Watch Service
A well-crafted watch is designed to last for decades with proper care and routine maintenance.
To help your timepiece perform at its best, Shinola recommends a Factory Watch Service every five (5) to seven (7) years for both quartz and mechanical watches.
Every qualifying Shinola Factory Watch Service is backed by a 2-year service guarantee.
If a defect arises from the workmanship or components replaced during a qualifying Factory Watch Service within two (2) years of that service, Shinola will repair the covered issue at no additional charge.
The Factory Service Guarantee applies only to the work performed and parts replaced during that service. It does not extend or renew the original Shinola Guarantee on the watch.
Factory service includes inspection of critical components, movement servicing, replacement of wear items as needed, performance testing, and restoration of water resistance where applicable.
Routine factory service helps:
• Maintain optimal performance
• Extend the life of the movement
• Preserve water resistance
• Reduce long-term wear
• Keep your watch performing for years to come
