Designed in collaboration with actor and Michigan native Quincy Isaiah, the Grassland Runwell is created to bring awareness to the racial disparity in marijuana arrests and help drive long-needed change. A portion of the proceeds of each watch—limited to 420 pieces—is pledged to support criminal justice reform policies.
As explored in the upcoming independent film ‘Grassland,’ the laws that have—are and still are—incarcerating people for marijuana are disproportionally affecting minorities, making it difficult for lesser offenders to get jobs once they re-enter society. And while marijuana is increasingly decriminalized across the country, many people are still locked up strictly for marijuana offenses. They deserve a re-evaluation.
