The frames and forks for both The Runwell and The Bixby are fabricated by Wisconsin-based outfit, Waterford Precision Cycles. A family-owned shop, they have earned an international reputation for building exceptional frames and forks.
But what makes a Waterford frame unique? The quality of the steel they use is obviously important, but there's more to it than that—producing a lightweight steel frame that precisely balances durability and comfort is an art form, and the craftspeople at Waterford have spent decades perfecting their craft.
For an in-depth look at the fabrication process that goes into every Shinola frame and fork, as well as the bicycle assembly process in our Detroit workshop, watch the video above.
