    Meet recent Detroit transplant Bridget Russo. She singlehandedly coordinates Shinola's marketing efforts from our company headquarters on the fifth floor of the historic Argonaut building. A dyed-in-the-wool New Yorker, Bridget moved to the Motor City from Tribeca New York last year because she believes it would be insincere to direct the company's marketing efforts from anywhere else.

    Meet David Kirby, our resident bike expert in the Shinola flagship New York store, seen (handsomely) riding The Runwell in the above photo. Starting in September, he will be leading a bike tour every Saturday evening from the Tribeca store (177 Franklin St.) that hits points north up the West Side Highway.

    Sh*t From Shinola


    The original Shinola brand was founded in 1907, and, although it was growing in popularity, Shinola's rise in demand really hit its peak during WWI due to the sheer number of army boots that needed shining. Of course, Shinola wasn't the only shoe shine out there, but the brand name might be one of the most memorable for the saying "You don't know sh*t from Shinola."
