Our Miami store is nestled within the Wynwood Art District amongst The Wynwood Walls. This area was not always so vibrant, up until 2009 it was taken over by windowless warehouse buildings and empty streets. Tony Goldman, a local community revitalizer, changed that by turning those warehouse walls into giant canvases for talented graffiti artists.
Today, The Wynwood Walls have brought some of the world’s best artists working in the graffiti and street art genre to Miami, which inspired this bike tour and the mural on the side of our Miami store we had painted by local artist Tim Buwalda. Read more about our Buwalda, here.
The Shinola bike ride celebrated this area’s beauty by touring through The Wynwood Walls, which has seen more than 50 artists representing 16 countries paint more than 80,000 square feet of walls. Stay tuned for our next bike tour, view some highlights from the tour below.
