A JOURNAL BY SHINOLA DEDICATED TO JOY OF CRAFT

John Stoll

John D. Stoll is a freelance storyteller living in Rochester Hills, Michigan, with his wife Kimberly, six children and the family’s nervous little goldendoodle. He is a former Wall Street Journal editor and writer who focused on the automotive industry, Scandinavia, the Vatican and the business of Big Business during his tenure at the paper. In his spare time, he drives a shuttle bus between kids’ sporting events, school outings, play dates, and musical performances, and sometimes swims laps – alone. He owns two Shinola watches, and a truck made in Toledo.
