In 1894, sailors in Lake Erie spotted a menacing creature. It was said to be over 40 feet long and coiled, swimming at the crest of a swell in the water. It came to be known as the Lake Erie Monster. It is believed to still be out there among the thousands of shipwrecks on the floor of Lake Erie.

A Case of Art
The LEM caseback features our portrayal of the legendary Lake Erie Monster, including its menacing blue sapphire eye. Each caseback features a laser-etched individual serial number and is specially sealed to withstand pressure up to 1,000 feet underwater.
Unparalleled Craftsmanship
To build our most iconic timepiece, the Lake Erie Monster, we pored over every detail from top to bottom. The LEM’s single dome sapphire crystal was designed with an anti-reflective coating to ensure maximum visibility underwater. The uni-rotating bezel holds a black ceramic insert. The 43mm case is machined from high-grade 316L stainless steel to be endlessly durable.
Details that matter
There isn’t much light when you’re 1,000 feet underwater. The LEM Super-LumiNova indices radiate from the black dial and allow for easy visibility day or night, above ground or underwater. The 12 o’clock marker is punctuated by a diver-down flag.
