Every piece of handcrafted leather is unique, and each item’s individual characteristics and color will naturally mature through daily use and exposure to the elements, adding to its charm. We recommend spot cleaning your Shinola leather good with a dry cloth to remove any dirt. Do not use water on lightly treated or untreated leathers as those products are vulnerable to staining. For other non-suede leathers, you can use a small amount of soap with lukewarm water as necessary. Air dry, do not expose to heat. Please note that water staining may occur if the product gets saturated. Coloration can also transfer to or from the product due to friction with garments. A semi-annual application of leather conditioner is recommended to help keep the product supple and less susceptible to water damage. Please take care in applying, spot test first, as conditioner can cause product discoloration.
