Inspired by the Black Beach of northern Minnesota, the Forged Carbon Monster has a uniquely etched and colored case back that features the Great Lakes and arrives in a special edition gift set with a black rubber strap and woven orange nylon strap with a leather backing.

To create the case of the Forged Carbon Monster, carbon fiber is chopped into small pieces and mixed with resin. Under intense heat and pressure, it solidifies into a forged composite capable of incredible feats.

UNDER THE SURFACE
Along the shores of Lake Superior, there is a legendary Black Beach surrounded by rust-orange cliffs. This dark sand and bright stone bear witness to the Great Lakes’ long industrial history. Taconite, a byproduct of iron mining, is the source of the shore’s strange color.
Long since regulated and now a public park, the beach stands as a unique reminder of what the Great Lakes have given us—and what’s worth protecting.

Powered by your movement, this Swiss automatic movement drives the hours, minutes, seconds and calendar aperture function and boasts a 38-hour power reserve. 26 jeweled bearings help reduce friction to maintain accuracy. An iron inner housing protects the movement from magnetic disruption.
CASE
FORGED CARBON CASE
To create the case, carbon fiber is chopped into short pieces and forged by mixing, melding, and molding it with resin under intense heat and pressure. Ultra-light, the forged carbon case possesses three-dimensional strength that traditional carbon fiber sheets can’t achieve.
Rated at 30 ATM and built beyond ISO-6425 specifications, the case also features a stainless steel core, a sandblasted PVD black stainless steel backing and top ring, a screw-down crown, and a unidirectional bezel to keep track of time elapsed under water.

IN THE SHADOW OF
THE BLACK BEACH
The Forged Carbon Monster’s unique look takes its cues from the Black Beach of Silver Bay, Minnesota. An industrial past left the beaches as dark as the sandblasted black dial. Applied polished gunmetal indices with blue glow C1 lume fill and cream-tipped hands provide easy legibility in the dark. A diver down flag sits below the twelve o’clock marker, and a calendar aperture sits at three o’clock.
STRAP
LEATHER-BACKED NYLON
The rust orange woven nylon strap has a comfortable leather backing. Use the included black rubber strap for diving and other watersports. Quick release features make the straps easy to swap in and out to suit your activity—or your style.
