The Station Agent Automatic 45mm
EVERY SECOND COUNTS
Introducing the Station Agent Runwell Automatic, our first Runwell Automatic with a sub-second dial. This evolution of our flagship watch is inspired by the Station Agents that tended to American railways at the height of travel by train. Responsible for the comings and goings of millions, a Station Agent knew the value of every single second—and they needed a watch that could keep up. The Station Agent Runwell Automatic is a tribute to those timekeepers.
Stay on track and on time with the sub-second dial. Watch the Station Agent’s engine—the Swiss-made SW260-1 Sellita Movement—at work through the sapphire crystal exhibition window. From the solid stainless steel case to the Cattail Grizzly leather strap, it’s a watch fit for every occasion, no matter where you’re headed. The uniquely crafted dial features a matte vellum texture and Super-LumiNova on the hands that’s color-matched to aged radium found on vintage watches.
As tribute to how Detroit and Michigan Central Station have risen from the ashes time and time again, the bespoke Runwell Automatic Station Agent box is treated with fire and embossed with the motto of Detroit, and includes an exclusive story booklet and brass badge.
speramus meliora; resurgent cineribus.
“we hope for better things;
it will arise from the ashes.”

all aboard
Before there were smartwatches, there were smart people wearing watches.
Enter the Station Agent, the timekeeper of American railways. From the east coast to the west, Station Agents were responsible for millions of travelers getting from A to B without missing a single second.
The Station Agent Runwell Automatic is a tribute to these men and women—and the unfailing precision of their watches.

“fire engulfed the old train station at jefferson and third...”
Nothing embodies what a Station Agent is about like the story of Michigan Central Station on December 27th, 1913.
The old wooden station caught fire in the afternoon; by dinner time, trains were running smoothly in and out of the new Michigan Central Station, which wasn't supposed to open for another week.
Reporters in the Free Press said nary a suitcase nor postcard was out of place. Thanks, in no small part, to the watchful eye (and seconds hand) of the Station Agent.
As tribute to how the city and the station have risen from the ashes time and time again, the bespoke Runwell Automatic Station Agent box is treated with fire and embossed with the motto of Detroit and includes an exclusive story booklet and brass badge.

cattail grizzly leather strap
Smooth and sophisticated, this premium leather strap in Cattail Grizzly is the perfect complement to the Station Agent. It's also removable, making the timepiece customizable with the purchase of an additional strap. Shinola leather straps are cut and sewn in America.
